Professional Standards Scheme (PSS)
In Partnership with Surveyors Australia
ACSIS is proud to facilitate and promote the Consulting Surveyors National Professional Standards Scheme (PSS): a program delivered in collaboration with Surveyors Australia / CSN and endorsed by the Professional Standards Councils.
The Scheme mirrors similar programs available to professions such as lawyers and accountants, giving surveyors a recognised pathway to demonstrate accountability, uphold industry standards, and gain tangible business benefits.
The Four Key Benefits of Joining the Scheme
- Risk Management Training
Participate in annual training (online or in-person) tailored to your professional role and business category. This training not only fulfils CPD and FPET hour requirements but also equips your team with the knowledge to prevent common claims and improve operational efficiency. - Capped Civil Liability: Under the Professional Standards Scheme, your civil liability is capped based on your prior financial year’s business turnover, starting at $2 million. The liability cap can reduce exposure in the event of a claim.
- 10% Discount on Professional Indemnity Premiums Members of the PSS receive up to 10% discount on the base premium for Professional Indemnity Insurance with ACSIS CGU members. For many firms, this discount not only offsets Scheme fees but may result in a net saving, depending on business size and staff structure.
